Carron Moroney, Flute

Carron received a B.A. in Music Performance and Education from Montclair State University and a M.M. in Classical Flute Performance from the Mannes College of Music in New York City.  Her principal teachers have been Peggy Schecter, Elizabeth Mann and Keith Underwood.  Ms. Moroney was a 1991 winner of the New York Flute Club competition and has had solo appearances with the Montclair State University Orchestra as a concerto competition winner, the Ossining Collegium Orchestra, the Society of Musical Arts Orchestra in Maplewood and the Metropolitan Orchestra of New Jersey where she is also principal flute.  Ms. Moroney performs often with the New Jersey Chamber Music Society and has been a featured performer on WQXR's Young Artists Program.  Ms. Moroney is a teacher and a free-lance performer in the tri-state area
