Amy Hamilton-Soto, Violin Amy began her violin studies at age 5. She received her B.M. at The Juilliard School and her M.M. at Mannes College of Music in New York City. She studied with Lewis Kaplin and Stephen Clapp, having privately studied with Eugene Drucker and Oscar Ravina. Amy is well-known locally, both as a soloist and orchestra member. As a soloist she has performed with the Livingston Symphony, the Plainfield Symphony and the Montclair State University Orchestra. Additionally, she is currently the Principal Second with the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra, and Concertmistress of the Bronx Opera, The Bronx Chamber Orchestra, and the Elizabeth Chamber Virtuosi. Amy also performs freelance with numerous groups in the Metropolitan Area, recently appearing in Atlantic City with Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme and in Pennsylvania with the Brian Wilson Tour. She recently returned from Washington D.C., where she performed at the Russian Embassy.
